The Koinonia Ministry

Koinonia is a group of women at Mililani Community Church who plan and coordinate activities that promote fellowship, service, and outreach of the Body of Christ.

The Koinonia Ministry is involved in:

• Planning and coordinating the potlucks for Festival Sundays and meal/refreshments for special events.
• Arranging for meals for families during illnesses or difficult circumstances, and/or assisting families in need of help.
• Sending flowers to individuals during serious illnesses or hospitalizations, per pastor's or elder's request.
• Purchasing leis for guest speakers.
• Initiating the prayer chain, after a request is made by the pastor and/or elders.

Special events the Koinonia ministry has planned or helped coordinate:

• Festival Sunday potluck lunches
• Aloha luncheons
• Easter Sunday breakfast
• Lunches for the homeless at the Institute for Human Services (IHS)
• Church Picnics
• Church Anniversary Celebration
• Halloween Alternative/Missions Fair
• Canned goods drive and/or school supplies collection
• Christmas Advent Logs
• Christmas caroling at Ola Loa Retirement Community
• Refreshments for Sunday School Christmas Pageants and Walk Through Bethlehemcommunity outreach.
• Refreshments for the Christmas Eve service.

Friends of the Heart Ministry This is a prayer partner ministry among the women of Mililani Community Church. We commit to pray for and with another person from September through May.

Sweetheart of the Year

Once a year we honor one of the ladies of our church in a special way at a luncheon.

Women's Bible Classes

These classes are held weekly and monthly for interested women in the church.

Annual Women's Retreat

This year the Hawaii District EFCA churches will be hosting the Fall National Women's Retreat for the Evangelical Free Church. More information will follow.
